Turned to Twitch during the pandemic and made the pivot to Live Streaming to “save” my business. 2 1/2 years into building up my channel and community, Twitch suspended me due to an outage in their payments system and I’m unable to actually get a reply to my appeal. Out of the 2.4k followers I had on Twitch, I’m now streaming my DJ sets on Discord to about 350 members. Working hard to retain my most engaged viewers and slowly rebuild / grow my audience on a new platform. Looking forward to more Discord integration (especially chat), and with the help of a few friends that code, I’ve been able to allow my viewers to trigger my commands for lights and OBS overlays.
